British atheist Richard Dawkins has influenced many with his impassioned arguments against God and religion. This seminar will introduce Dawkins’ key ideas and reveal the logical flaws in his thinking. The seminar will both help you understand Dawkins and develop your critical thinking skills.
The lecture is offered in connection with a course in KL103: The Christian worldview in apologetic perspective.
Peter S. Williams is a philosopher and assistant professor at NLA University College, Kristiansand. He has authored several books, many of them dealing with the New Atheism. His book from 2020 Outgrowing God? A Beginner’s Guide to Richard Dawkins and the God Debate (Cascade) is a response to Richard Dawkins’ book Outgrowing God: A Beginner’s Guide (2019).
